This year, Marina Mirage is celebrating 35 years of business, and we couldn’t think of a better way to commemorate this special occasion than by taking the time to highlight some of our incredible retailers who have helped make Marina Mirage the special shopping destination it is today.
Maria Gambaro has been a major presence within the Marina Mirage community for many years now, sharing her skincare wisdom not just with her clients, but also with the wider Marina Mirage community. We chatted with Maria about some of her favourite skincare treatments, and what makes working at Marina Mirage so wonderful.
How long have you had a store at Marina Mirage?
Our clinic has been at Marina Mirage for 21 years.
What drew you towards skincare and skin health as a career path?
Skin health can be a complicated thing. For those who take regular care of their skin, there is always new research and updates to best practices for skin care routines. However, it is not always easy to separate the science from the fads or establish what the best new trends actually are when they pop up.
As with most trends, some gather momentum because a lot of people are doing them, and then they’re forgotten, while others stick around.
Is there a particular treatment at Esteem Clinic that you’re really proud of?
You can’t go past a laser treatment to clean the skin increase overall skin health and collagen production.
For the uninitiated, our no downtime, scientifically based laser treatments are the best way to start improving your skin’s overall health. These treatments are gentle, work for both men and women, and depending on your skin requirements, may be treatments you can incorporate into your regular routine without going any further.
Our skincare range is also scientifically based and helps our clients to improve their skin’s health from the comfort of their own home.
What do you love about running your business at Marina Mirage?
Location, location, location! I am also extremely proud of my team, who I believe are amongst the most gifted and knowledgeable nurses and therapists in the beauty industry.
What is it about the Marina Mirage community that you love the most?
The family friendly atmosphere. Having a sense of community unites us and being a part of this community can make us feel as though we are a part of something greater than ourselves.
